
Dr. Amin did his fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. He is on the faculty at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as Clinical Assistant Professor.
He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Internal Medicine, and Board Eligible in Transplant Hepatology. Dr. Amin performs ERCP’s at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Both Dr. Amin’s office and the DHCI are enrolled in clinical trials.
Gastroenterology and Hepatology are medical specialties devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.
Some of the more common problems include peptic ulcer disease (PUD), heartburn and reflux (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colon cancer, colon polyps, gallstones, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, increase in liver enzymes, fatty liver, Hepatitis (A, B, & C), biliary stones, and celiac sprue.

“Capsule Endoscopy” is done in Dr. Amin’s office for suspected Crohn’s disease, bleeding from unknown GI source, etc.
